Testing...1,2

I have been inspired by my family to try my knack for blogging. I'm not sure that anything in my life is really so great that it deserves to be posted on the world wide web, but I'm giving it a shot.
A few of my cousins have incredible blogs. They really keep me entertained and informed. I hope that by reading my blog you can learn a few things about me and my family and what we do in our lives.
So here goes, I guess this is my first blog.
Today is my 14th wedding anniversary. I married Jeff on an unbelievably hot day in the backyard of the Relief Society President's house. She has an amazing backyard. I think that other than the heat everyone was comfortable .
The reception was held at the Henderson Park Clubhouse in Snelling. Boy was it hot in there, it had no air conditioner. The food was good (prepared by my mother-in-law along with the decorations - Thanks Mom!) and the cake was made by Jeff's Auntie Sheryl. Thanks Sheryl! I didn't know that it would be the last time that all my grandparents were together with me, but I did enjoy being with them as much as possible. Here is the Merced River in Snelling:

What a great day.
We had our honeymoon at Eagle Lake which is near Lassen. We rented an adorable little 2 bedroom cottage for $70 a night. We rented a boat and went fishing everyday. Well, Jeff fished - I mostly stayed wrapped up in my sleeping bag but still enjoyed the weather and the scenery and even managed to catch a fish. We had to ask the locals for advice about fishing and the best time to head out in the morning (which happened to be 4 am) and by the end of our stay the town was waving to us and calling us "the honeymooners". This is Eagle Lake:

I never could have imagined what the road ahead would be like for us or that Jeff and I would be closer and more in love now than we were then, but that is how our relationship has worked out. Jeff is my best friend, he supports me, spoils me, encourages me, strengthens me, challenges me, frustrates me, comforts me, loves me and makes me laugh!
I owe most of what I have to him and I can never do enough to thank him for all that, not even in 14 more years.
